Myers Briggs Type Indicator

Psychometrics

The MBTI® personality typing tool, utilises psychological types as described by Carl Jung and provides a fascinating framework of 16 options, making this knowledge accessible, user friendly and memorable.

Personality preferences are described in a positive way, there are no rights or wrongs with type, just difference.  A greater understanding allows people to appreciate their strengths, recognise where they can develop and value difference in others.

At River we use MBTI frequently, across many types of organisations.  Popular applications include:

Increased awareness, personal growth and coachingConflict management
Enhanced communication and influencing skillsCareer development
Managing others and inspirational leadershipManaging change
Team building and developmentDecision making
Resilience and wellbeing

The better we understand personality type and difference, the easier it becomes adapt our style and approach to improve the results we get.  This insight can hugely benefit our relationships both personally and professionally. Increased self-awareness and behavioural flexibility can reduce conflict and misunderstandings and increase our potential to relate to, and work well with, others.

We are qualified and experienced in providing MBTI Step 1 and we also dive deeper with MBTI Step II.
